The trade show for professionals is being held for the first time at Fira de Barcelona
The Furniture Showroom presents the latest products and trends
From 7 to 10 June, the Gran Via Exhibition Centre is hosting the second edition of the Furniture Showroom. Organized for the first time by Fira de Barcelona and the Barcelona Association of Sales Agents (COACB), it presents the latest trends in furniture and interior decoration.
The show is aimed at retailers, distributors and commercial operators in the sector. It brings together the offering of 135 companies, featuring their new products in modern, classic or colonial furniture, upholstered sofas and armchairs, furniture for children’s and teenagers’ rooms and outdoor furniture as well as lighting and interior decoration objects.
The event will host various activities including sessions on job vacancies and advice on getting access to credit and international markets.According to the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, the furniture sector in Spain accounts for over 8,000 companies, mainly located in Catalonia, Valencia, Andalusia and Galicia, and provides jobs for more than 59,000 people. It is a big player in Europe too: representing 11.7% of the companies in its specialist field, responsible for 6.8% of total production and employing 7.8% of all European workers in this sector.
