Free From Food Expo is dedicated to allergen-free products
Fira de Barcelona, the European capital of ‘free from‘ food
The Free From Food Expo takes place on 4-5 June, the only trade show in Europe dedicated to ‘free from’ products for people with allergies or food intolerances. The third edition of the event is being held at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.
The event brings together manufacturers and suppliers of gluten-free, lactose-free, fat-free, low-salt and additive-free food and beverages from all over the world, including the United Kingdom, United States, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Australia and Israel.
As well as presenting the latest products in this consumer sector, which has grown significantly in recent years, Free From Food Expo offers a full programme of conferences featuring top-level experts.
At the 2014 edition, held in Brussels, more than 125 exhibitors took part and the show was visited by over 1,500 professionals from 34 different countries.
According to the Spanish Association of People with Food and Latex Allergies, some 17 million people in Europe – almost 2 million in Spain – suffer from some form of food allergy.
