SIL, the meeting point for logistics professionals
Fira de Barcelona is hosting the International Logistics and Handling exhibition on 9-11 June (SIL), the leading event in the sector in Spain and the biggest in southern Europe. This year’s event includes the Smart Logistics & Mobility area, devoted to sustainable distribution and mobility.
SIL, held at the Montjuïc venue, brings together 550 companies, 45% of which are foreign, and further underlines its role as a business bridge between the Mediterranean and Latin America.
The different exhibition areas include one devoted to the transport sector and another that showcases the work of the Ministry of Defence’s Military Emergencies Unit. Another novelty this year is the Job Market Place section, featuring job vacancies in the logistics sector, with the support of Barcelona Activa.
More than 20 seminars featuring over 220 speakers will also be taking place at the show, most notably the Latin-American Summit on Logistics and Transport and the Mediterranean Logistics and Transport Forum, as well as numerous business meetings for facilitating business contacts.
Organized by the Zona Franca Consortium, SIL aims to showcase the advantages that logistics can offer companies in terms of saving costs and improving their competitiveness.
