Tattoo culture will fill the Montjuïc exhibition centre

Those interested in tattoo culture should not miss the next Barcelona Tattoo Expo, one of Europe’s leading events in this field. It is being held for the first time from October 4th to 6th in the Montjuïc venue and will be bringing together over 180 national and international tattooists.

Visitors will have the opportunity to get a tattoo and see how the best international artists work, such as Jack Rudy (USA), Brent McCown (New Zealand), Tang Ping (China), Andy Engel (Germany), Laura Juan (Spain) and Jota Esteban (Spain), among others.

A highlight will be the presence of Horitoshi 1st, one of Japan’s most important tattooists, who will be presenting his book dedicated to the traditional Nipponese tattoo. A seminar on Japanese calligraphy and an exhibition of katanas on a Tatami will complete this Asian country’s activities.

The fair will feature photography seminars, exhibitions, shows, and an area with stands exhibiting handicrafts, fashion and accessories, as well as the new motor space “Art on Wheels”, an exhibition of customised motorcycles and classic cars.

Barcelona Tattoo Expo, which began life in Cotxeres de Sants and, since 2008, has been held in La Farga de L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, is moving to Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc exhibition centre this year and expects over 15,000 visitors.
