Iberzoo show, for professionals in the pet sector

From October 10th to 12th, the Montjuïc exhibition centre will be hosting a new edition of Iberzoo, one of Spain’s most relevant pet fairs. Aimed at trade visitors, it will showcase the latest trends for pet care and hygiene.
It will be exhibiting the latest in food, fashion, health, accessories, services and products for aquariums and terrariums, as well as everything necessary for birds, rodents and other pets.
The fair includes activities to promote know-how, facilitate contact between professionals and generate business. The list of side events includes the session organised by the market studies firm Euromonitor and the conferences on the management and organisation of a specialised shop and those on aquarium maintenance.
Iberzoo, which is being held for the second time in Fira de Barcelona, is organised by the Asociación Española de Distribuidores de Productos para Animales de Compañía (Aedpac).
Around half of Spanish homes (46%) live with a pet, the majority dogs and cats, a figure that is on the rise, according to the Affinity Foundation Observatory data on the link between people and pets. In 2012, there was a 50% growth in dog adoption while the number for cats was up 40%.
