Fira co-organises the first packaging and printing show in Cuba

Pacgraf Cuba, the island’s first package, packaging and printing show, opens its doors today. Co-organised by Fira de Barcelona and Grupo Empresarial Palco, the event has brought 50 companies from 10 countries in Europe and America, including 19 exhibitors from Spain, which has contributed most exhibiting companies. 
Pacgraf Cuba, which will be held from today until Thursday at the Pabexpo Exhibition Centre in Havana, showcases the packaging and printing-related business opportunities that are opening in the island, especially in the biopharmaceutical and food industries, and offers companies the possibility of contacting the leading buyers, retailers, distributors, Ministries and investors in Cuba and other Caribbean countries.
Almost 70% of the exhibitors are manufacturers and distributors of package, packaging and printing machinery and equipment, 18% operate in the materials and raw materials segment, and the remainder are printing services companies and Cuban government bodies and institutions responsible for regulating the country’s imports and exports.
In addition to exhibition area, an Investment Forum has been organised with lectures and presentations about the industry’s future in the island and Business Rounds to help generate new contacts.
Pacgraf Cuba is part of the exhibition portfolio co-organised by Fira de Barcelona in Havana. In 2017, the 2nd Hostelcuba will be held and the Renewable Energies and Security and Emergency Systems Fairs will be launched. In 2018, it is planned to hold the 2nd Feria de Alimentos Cuba (International Food and Beverages Exhibition) concurrently with the 14th International Conference of Food Science and Technology (CICTA).
