Christmas is here again, and so is the traditional Children’s’ Festival

The Children’s Festival, one of the most traditional events in Catalonia during the Christmas season, is back on 27 December through to 4 January at Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc Exhibition Centre. Once again, festive fun is guaranteed.
This year the traditional programme is being enhanced by two more events: “A Day with Peppa at the Festival”, a theme park starring the characters of this cartoon series located in Hall 2, offering activities for children aged 1 to 6; and the leisure and multimedia experiences event, the XD Young Fest, featuring all kinds of recreational fun, multimedia experiences, dances and urban sports for kids aged 10 and over.
Other attractions at the Children’s Festival include interactive games, magic shows, theatre and puppets, areas for practising sports and workshops related to the environment, recycling and food.
Since it first started back in 1963, the Festival’s goal has been to entertain and educate its youngest visitors in values such as creativity, solidarity and respect for the environment, as well as promoting sport, culture and healthy eating.
