Major events in the fields of industry, technology, tourism and leisure
A new semester of intense trade fair activity
Fira de Barcelona’s activity resumes in September with more than 30 trade fairs and congresses scheduled for the second half of 2019. Noteworthy will be events related to medicine, industry, innovation, technology, sustainability, tourism and leisure.
After the summer, the autumn calendar starts with three important medical meetings, the World Conference on Lung Cancer (IASCL), the Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress.
In relation to tourism and leisure, there will be the Barcelona Boat Show, Caravaning and the new NiceOne Barcelona fair on digital entertainment, as well as a new edition of Ibtm World, the professional fair on business tourism. Professional fairs to be held in the field of sustainability and technological innovation include the Piscina & Wellness Barcelona fair along with the Smart City Expo World Congress, the international summit on intelligent cities. Also to be highlighted are events related to the new industry such as Industry From Needs to Solutions and the IoT Solutions World Congress dedicated to industrial internet applications.
Culture and gastronomy are also protagonists in the autumn calendar with the celebration of Manga Barcelona, which celebrates its 25th anniversary with a tribute to Dragon Ball; the contemporary art fair, Swab Barcelona, and a new edition of Fórum Gastronómico in Barcelona.
