Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe makes its debut at Fira de Barcelona

On 4 and 5 December the event devoted to the interior design and outfitting of boats will be held for the first time in Europe in the wake of the success of the North American fair that took place in Miami in June. With more than 160 exhibitors, Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe will be attended by leading companies and include a congress schedule that addresses issues such as new trends in design, innovative materials and sustainability.

Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe disembarks at the Gran Via venue to showcase the latest trends in the industry devoted to the interior design and outfitting of medium-sized and large boats. With an exhibition area that covers lighting, floor covering and the use of fabrics and glass on vessels, the event will be visited by firms from more than 39 countries, including 47 shipping companies, and will include an extensive congress schedule.

In terms of design, solutions to optimise the distribution of space, stylish textures and chromatic ranges and the most resistant materials will be presented. In addition, there will be various talks will focus on sustainability as a key factor for the sector. The challenges include tackling how to minimise the generation of waste during the manufacture of the boats and how to extend the useful life of their components.
