The congress will tackle the change the way of financing primary care
SEMERGEN brings together doctors and specialists in Fira de Barcelona
Fira de Barcelona is hosting the 35th National Congress of the Sociedad Española de Médicos de Atención Primaria (SEMERGEN), which is taking place from October 23rd to 26th in the Gran Via Exhibition Centre. On this occasion, the congress will be covering the challenges faced by healthcare, especially due to the new economic reality. For this reason, professionals and experts from the sector will debate the limitations and problems that stem from budgetary cuts and measures such as copayment.
The congress will also highlight new more collaborative and multidisciplinary forms of leadership and prominence of primary care, geared towards quality and continuous flow of knowledge, in which information and communication technologies (ICTs) are a basic and essential piece.
Over 4,000 people will attend this year’s SEMERGEN, which has also broken the record for the number of original scientific communications interested in participating in the congress. A total of 1,659 scientific works have been submitted, which is 50% more than the previous event.
