Mobile World Congress, the Barcelona Motor Show, Hispack and Piscina
Benchmark international trade shows and congresses in 2015
Fira de Barcelona’s venues of Montjuïc and Gran Via will be hosting some of the world’s leading trade shows and congresses in 2015. This is also a year of major events in the field of medicine and technology.
The calendar is particularly busy this year. More than 60 trade shows and conferences will be taking place. Highlights include the Mobile World Congress, the mobile communications industry’s biggest event, which once again will be held at the same time as 4YFN, geared towards entrepreneurs and organized by Mobile World Capital Barcelona, plus a new edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress, the benchmark international event for smart cities.
In 2015 there will be a particular emphasis on industry-related events, showcasing the latest trends in the sectors of graphic arts, packaging, swimming pools and aquatic facilities, construction, motor vehicles, business travel and food, amongst others.
Some of the key events in this respect include the Barcelona Motor Show, Hispack (held at the same time as BTA, Barcelona Food Technologies), Graphispag, Piscina Barcelona, Beyond Building Barcelona – Construmat, Pharmaprocess, Barcelona Degusta, IBTM World and Tissue World.
Fashion will also be showcased at Barcelona Bridal Week (Gaudí Bridal Show and Noviaespaña) and Denim by Première Vision, specializing in all things denim.
In the health sphere some of the most important events will be MIHealth and the Dental Forum, plus meetings of European medical professionals in gastroenterology, cataracts and refractory surgery and paediatric endocrinology, amongst others. With regard to corporate events in the technological field, the Fira will once again be hosting VM World and Hewlett Packard (HP).
