An autumn of major international fairs

After the summer, fair-related activity will resume in September with major professional fairs, particularly in the industrial and technological fields. The intensive calendar in the second half of the year and the quality of the events to be held will reinforce Fira de Barcelona’s dominance of the Spanish market and strengthen its impact on the economic and social fabric of the territory.
A total of more than 30 fairs and congresses are scheduled at the Montjuïc and Gran Via venues. The September agenda will begin with Expohogar-BCNJoya, Cosmetorium and the staging, for the first time in Spain, of Gastech, the leading global event for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry, coinciding with the Global Power & Energy Exhibition.
October will feature the second Barcelona Industry Week, a commercial and knowledge-based platform devoted to digitalization and the new industry, comprising the IN(3D)USTRY (additive manufacturing), IoT Solutions World Congress (Internet of Things) and Healthio (health and healthcare technologies) fairs.
Another one of the large events for professionals will arrive in November in the shape of the Sustainability Week, with simultaneous fairs related to sustainable development taking place, namely Smart City World Congress (an international benchmark for smart city solutions), Smart Mobility Congress (urban mobility) and Iwater (the integral water cycle).
Also in the professional field, Fira will host the European corporate meetings of multinational technological companies such as VMware, SAP and Atlasian, as well as IBTM World, the most important event in the world of business travel, congresses and incentives, while Liber, the International Book Fair, will also return.
In the latter stages of the year there are fairs that are sure to attract the general public, such as the Boat Show, the most important event in Spain for sports and recreational boating, Caravaning, with the latest developments in the world of caravans and motorhomes, Barcelona Games World, the show geared towards video games and digital entertainment, held in late November this year, and the Arnold Classic Europe, Manga, Expominer, AutoRetro and Ocasión fairs, among many others.
