Registration and press room
The press pass is exclusively for professionals with verifiable journalistic activity in a print, broadcast or digital media outlet. It grants access to the exhibition, its activities and the press room for reporting purposes only.
Journalists, photographers, technicians, producers and camera operators must apply for accreditation online via each exhibition’s website. In some cases, accreditation may also be carried out in person at the press room during the event.
The following people are entitled to Fira de Barcelona press pass:

Holders of press cards
Valid official press cards issued by media organisations, professional associations of journalists, and member organisations of the IFJ are accepted. They must be issued within the last four years and verifiable. Presenting a press card does not automatically guarantee a pass. It is recommended that you also provide evidence of recent journalistic work.

Journalists, graphic sector professionals, including freelance
You may prove your journalistic activity with:
– A letter from the editorial management of the media outlet detailing your role and coverage.
– Recent published work (within the last year) bearing the applicant’s byline.
– A byline or credits listing the applicant’s name in in an editorial or reporting capacity.
Internal, corporate, promotional or brand publications, as well as blogs or corporate websites, will not be accepted.

Press Offices
Individuals working in the communications departments of public institutions, companies or organisations participating in the exhibition who submit a written request from the exhibitor. This pass is corporate in nature, and its use is strictly limited to communications tasks

Journalism and audiovisual communication students
They may obtain a single-day invitation by means of a request signed by the supervising lecturer, detailing the journalistic work to be carried out.

Journalism students
Students from Journalism, audiovisual communications or media schools can obtain a one-day pass by presenting a request from their professor describing the work they wish to do.
Rules
The press pass does not guarantee access to events or venues with limited capacity or specific conditions.
– It is personal and non-transferable and expires at the end of the event.
– Fira de Barcelona may refuse, restrict or withdraw the press pass in cases of misuse or falsification of documents. Revocation may result in the inability to obtain future accreditation.
– These regulations apply only to events organised by Fira de Barcelona. Individual trade fairs may also set additional requirements.
– Events organised by third parties have their own press accreditation regulations. Please consult the website or contact the organiser directly.
– Fira de Barcelona reserves the right to interpret, apply and amend these press accreditation regulations.

Exclusion for the press pass
- Journalists who are not currently practising journalism.
- Commercial or promotional profiles (sales, advertising, marketing, event photographers, audiovisual production companies, communications or PR agencies) seeking to attract clients or business contacts. Some trade shows offer a specific Advertising pass. Please check their websites for availability.
Bloggers, influencers and social media content creators without professional journalistic activity. Certain trade shows offer a specific ‘Content Creator’ pass, subject to minimum audience metrics, editorial criteria and thematic relevance to the event; the conditions for this can be checked on their websites.
