Sustainable and railway logistics will be debated at BcnRail 2013

The fourth edition of BcnRail, Fira de Barcelona’s International Railway Industry Show, which is being held from November 19th to 21st in the Gran Via Exhibition Centre, will focus on three key issues for the development of the sector: sustainable mobility, international markets and freight logistics, core topics of the 2nd International Railway Forum, the railway industry’s debate event.
The Forum will cover issues such as the Trans-European Transport Network, with the Mediterranean Corridor a priority, the state of railway investments in Catalonia, international public-private cooperation on an international level and the possibilities of investing in markets such as Turkey, Algeria and Morocco, among other countries.
With the decline in investments in Spain, BcnRail wants to help companies in the Spanish railway sector gain access to international markets. In this sense, the show will pay special attention to Brazil, which will have its own pavilion where organisations, such as the Asociación Brasileña de la Industria Ferroviaria (ABIFER) and the Asociación Nacional de Transportistas Ferroviarios (ANTF) will explain the business opportunities that are opening up in their country.
