Fira de Barcelona hosts the World Conference on Lung Cancer

The World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) brings together 7,000 physicians, researchers and scientists from more than 100 countries from 7 to 10 September. The event, organised by The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), aims to share the latest advances in research, treatment and prevention of the disease.
The twentieth edition of the largest international event in the field of thoracic oncology and lung cancer has a programme of ground-breaking conferences that includes more than 2,000 presentations of studies, workshops, conferences and networking sessions, as well as activities dedicated to other health-related profiles, such as nursing or the trade press.
Among other topics, the conference addresses the role of technological innovation in the early detection of lung cancer, as well as the importance of prevention and awareness of the risks of tobacco consumption.
