A whole world of handicrafts at the Handmade Festival

Fans of Do It Yourself should be sure not to miss the Handmade Festival Barcelona. The third edition of the show, from 8 to 10 April at Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue, showcases all kinds of materials and products associated with handicrafts.
The show is hosting more than 300 activities and experiences related to its four main themes: threads (sewing, Amigurumi dolls, patchwork, patterns, wools, sewing machines, etc.), paper (scrapbooking, decoupage, inks, paints, books, etc.), cookery (creative baking, cakes and desserts, chocolate, bread), and DIY, including interior design and garden landscaping.
This year there will be a special emphasis on paper therapy, creative recycling and DIY, with brand new spaces such as the Village and Downtown by Bauhaus, which recreates a village to showcase painting methods, furniture restoration, gardening and electricity installations. There will also be a Wedding area (for handmade weddings); a children’s area, a Food Market with food trucks, a vintage area featuring the best selection of bakery items, and a stage for funky concerts.
As an added extra this year, in collaboration with Evident Events, the festival is opening on the evening of Saturday 9 April through to 23:00 with exhibitions, dance classes, creative workshops, cocktail tasting sessions and live music.
