33 designers will present their collections on the catwalk at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week

The Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW) runway will be in the spotlights between the 20th and 23rd of April presenting creations designed by major national and international bridal wear designers. 33 top-level firms and emerging brands will take part in the catwalk of the sector’s international benchmark event, presenting their new products.

The BBFW catwalk will be the stage for the launch of the creations of Spanishl and international brands, which will present the 2023 collections of bridal, wedding and evening dresses to buyers and the media, wedding planners and guests. In addition, BBFW will have a digital platform with an area dedicated exclusively to participating brands and professionals, and another, open to the public, where the catwalk shows can be viewed live or recorded.

Spanish brands such as Atelier Pronovias; Rosa Clará; Jesús Peiró; Yolancris; Sophie et Voilà; Isabel Sanchis; Marco & María, and Ramón Sanjurjo have confirmed their presence. In addition to the new proposals of its Nicole Milano brand, Pronovias Group will present for the first time the Marchesa for Pronovias collection, the result of its collaboration with the American company.

Among the international brands making their debut at the BBFW fashion show will be Italian designer Peter Langner, who will present his 2023 collection in digital format only; Ukrainian Katy Corso; Vestal, from South Korea; Polish Agnieska Swialty; and Modeca, from Holland. Other international brands repeating their presence include Marylise & Rembo Styling, from Belgium; the American Demetrios; Julia Kontogruni, from Bulgaria; the Italian Carlo Pignatelli with his collection for the groom, and the French Cymbeline.

On the other hand, ratifying its commitment to young designers, the BBFW catwalk will host the ‘New Talents’ shows with the creations of Olga Macià, Lorena Panea, Poesie Sposa and Simone Marulli, and other designers present for the first time on the BBFW catwalk such as Andrea Lalanza, Mireia Balaguer and the Italian firm More.

Other designers, all from Andalusia, are making their debut on the BBFW catwalk this year, such as Moncho Heredia from Malaga, Nicolás Montenegro from Seville, Higar Novias from Córdoba and Manila Novias from Granada. All the firms will present creations for brides and bridesmaids, as well as other proposals for party dresses.

World premiere of Viktor&Rolf Mariage

Viktor&Rolf Mariage will be the star of the Barcelona Bridal Night, the gala evening of the show to be held on Wednesday 20 April at the Xavier Corberó Centre for Research and Artistic Activities. It will be the world’s first show of the bridal line of the famous brand, which will showcase creations from the spring/summer 2023 season along with a selection of iconic pieces from its haute couture collections and dresses from the Mariage line.

The BBFW trade fair will coincide with the catwalk on 22 and 23 April and will remain open until the 24th. The trade show this year will be made up of more than 320 firms, 80% international from 27 countries.

Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, organised by Fira de Barcelona with the support of the Departament d’Empresa i Treball de la Generalitat de Catalunya, expects to receive entrepreneurs, retailers and distributors from a hundred countries, and strategic buyers from Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Portugal, United States, Brazil, Mexico, South Korea, Japan and Arab Emirates, all target countries of the show, who have been contacted directly by the organisers.
