Piscina Barcelona launches “Spotlight on Regions” to engage with key pool markets across Spain
Piscina Barcelona has unveiled Spotlight on Regions, a new programme designed to strengthen engagement with strategically important regions across Spain and to explore the factors shaping the future of the country’s pool market. The initiative will begin in the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands, two highly significant markets driven by strong tourism and residential activity, as well as by the challenges associated with water management.
The swimming pool industry does not evolve in the same way across all Spanish regions. Climate conditions, tourism and residential models, water availability, regulatory frameworks and local business dynamics all contribute to distinct market realities that require tailored approaches.
Recognising this diversity, Piscina Barcelona has selected the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands as the first territories to be featured under Spotlight on Regions ahead of the 2027 edition of the event.
Both destinations are characterised by the importance of tourism, second-home ownership, hospitality activity and a strong pool culture, making them ideal environments for identifying trends, analysing demand and strengthening dialogue with key stakeholders in the pool, wellness and outdoor living sectors.

Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands also benefit from a highly active ecosystem of key specifiers, including engineering firms, architects, interior designers and landscape architects, whose recommendations play a decisive role in shaping market demand and driving the evolution of the pool industry.
Regional dialogue
Spotlight on Regions aims to create a close-to-market agenda that enables a better understanding of each territory, helping to identify the industry’s main challenges and opportunities while uncovering inspiring success stories.
Through meetings and exchanges with companies, distributors, installers, trade associations, industry professionals, tourism operators, public authorities and specifiers, the initiative seeks to generate original insights into local market realities, showcase outstanding projects and highlight the economic, social and urban development contribution of swimming pools across Spain’s autonomous communities.

The programme will combine communication and networking activities. These actions will help identify emerging needs and trends, gather best-practice examples for companies and professionals, and strengthen the show’s links with sectors closely connected to pools, wellness, construction, landscaping and tourism.
The insights gained in the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands will help shape the content of the next edition of Piscina Barcelona. The key challenges identified and the most relevant case studies may feed into the event’s conference programme and debate forums. The initiative will also ensure that the perspectives of companies and institutions from different regions are reflected in defining some of the priorities for the 2027 edition.
Piscina Barcelona 2027
Organised by Fira de Barcelona in partnership with ASOFAP, Piscina Barcelona 2027 will take place from 15 to 18 November 2027 at the Gran Via venue.
The event is expected to bring together more than 450 exhibitors from 30 countries and attract over 20,000 trade visitors, reinforcing its status as one of the leading international gatherings for the pool, wellness and outdoor living industries.
The 2027 edition will further strengthen its internationalisation strategy while placing greater emphasis on attracting high-quality professional buyers and specifiers with purchasing and decision-making power. In this context, Spotlight on Regions will help ensure that exhibitors and visitors are better connected to the realities of Spain’s pool market, the second largest in Europe by number of swimming pools and one of the continent’s most attractive destinations for international pool, wellness and outdoor brands.
