In agreement with the sector, the next B-Travel event will take place in June 2021

The next B-Travel event, the show specialising in experiential tourism, will take place from 11th to 13th June 2021, in Hall 8 of the Montjuïc venue, in agreement with the main agents in the Spanish tourism sector. Given the current socio-economic scenario, the aim is that next year’s event will contribute to the reactivation of an industry that is fundamental to the economy, and one which has been severely affected by the effects of the pandemic.

After a period of analysis and evaluation of the situation caused by COVID-19, the Organising Committee, composed of the leading companies and the main associations of the sector and tourism promotion bodies of the various autonomous communities, has approved the decision with the aim of holding the best possible event at the ideal time to boost the recovery of national and international holiday tourism.

In this regard, the Chairman of B-Travel, Martí Sarrate, commented that “the show seeks to be a great commercial platform for a sector of great importance for the economy of our country once again”, and added that “the choice of the new dates has been adopted after listening to the requests of the main agents in the sector, with whom we maintain a close relationship.”

As for the show’s Director, Marta Serra, she highlighted that “the organisation is working with the sector to design an event that meets their needs in a such a unique context as the one we are currently experiencing, to bring together the best tourism offer for visitors who are eager to travel once again.”

Physical and Digital Format
In view of the impossibility of holding this year’s event due to the situation caused by the pandemic, the new event is being prepared with a hybrid format that will combine the physical event, with the participation of various exhibitors such as the Spanish autonomous communities, local and nearby tourism providers in Barcelona and Catalonia, rural tourism and campsites, representatives from more than 40 countries and regions, travel agencies and transport companies, with virtual contents such as the digitalisation of the travel experience, new online customised trip services and streamed presentations, among others.

For another year running, the show will offer its best proposals in experiential tourism related to gastronomy, culture, adventure, sports, family and wellness, and will include activities for visitors, as well as a conference and meeting area for professionals in the sector.
