Press conference on the cancellation of MWC Barcelona 2020
GSMA, Fira de Barcelona and public institutions already working on the 2021 edition
In a joint press conference, held today at the Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue, the organizers of the MWC Barcelona and the supporting institutions have evaluated the cancellation of the 2020 edition.
The President of the Governing Board of Fira de Barcelona, Pau Relat, said that “Fira regrets the cancellation of the MWC Barcelona 2020 and we respect this difficult decision from GSMA, organizer of the congress”. Relat emphasized that “Fira de Barcelona is already working, together with the organizers and institutions, to make the 2021 edition a success”.
