Tissue World is, worldwide, the most important trade show in its speciality
The tissue paper industry meets again at the Gran Via venue
For the second time, Fira de Barcelona will host Tissue World, the world’s most important trade show dedicated to the hygienic tissue paper industry. Held in Nice since 1993, this year its venue will be the Gran Via venue, from 17th to 19th March.
Tissue World presents new technologies, machines, manufacturing processes, materials and innovative, greener and more sustainable products. In addition to the exhibition space, where leading companies in the industry will present, it will also have a complete congress programme featuring top-level experts. This edition of the show expects to receive visitors from over 90 countries.
Hygienic tissue paper is used for a myriad of products, such as toilet paper, facial tissues, wet wipes, napkins and nappies. Each Spanish resident consumes 14 kilos of this type of paper each year, above the European average of 13.5 kilos, according to the latest report from the Spanish Association of Paste, Paper and Cardboard Manufacturers (ASPAPEL). Spain is the third-largest producer of tissue paper in Europe and ranks among the top fifteen worldwide.
