Gran Via venue to host Europe’s leading event on liver health

From 27 to 30 May, Gran Via venue will host the EASL Congress, one of the leading international events dedicated to hepatology, which is expected to bring together more than 8,000 specialists. Organised by the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), the congress will feature the “Love Your Liver” initiative, offering liver screenings for all adults.

Following the last edition held in Amsterdam, the congress will once again become a meeting point for doctors, researchers, healthcare professionals and industry representatives, who will share the latest advances in the field through debates, hands-on workshops and expert-led sessions.

Over four days, the programme will include around 190 sessions focused on the latest research into the study and treatment of liver diseases, covering areas such as cirrhosis, liver tumours and immune-mediated diseases. More than 2,500 scientific abstracts featuring the latest findings in the field will also be presented.

Beyond its scientific dimension, the event will also include the “Love Your Liver” awareness initiative, offering fast, non-invasive liver screenings open to the public throughout the four days of the congress. The aim is to promote prevention, liver health awareness and greater understanding of liver diseases.
