Fira de Barcelona opens the call for entries for the CISO Leadership Awards
Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress to honour outstanding cybersecurity leaders
Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress (BCC), Europe’s leading cybersecurity event, has opened the call for entries for the 2026 CISO Leadership Awards, recognising outstanding executives and digital security professionals for their contribution to strengthening the protection of businesses and industries, critical infrastructure and essential services.
Organised by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the Catalan Cybersecurity Agency (Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya, ACC), BCC reinforces its commitment to promoting talent, leadership and best practices in cybersecurity through these awards, at a time when cyber resilience has become a strategic priority for industry and business.
The CISO Leadership Awards will recognise professionals who have excelled in anticipating risks, driving innovation and fostering a strong cybersecurity culture within their organisations. Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), senior security executives and digital protection leaders from both public and private sector organisations may submit their applications until 14 September 2026 through the awards website.
This year’s awards feature ten categories, ranging from recognition of female leadership to the Global CISO of the Year Award, as well as an honour for outstanding career achievement. A jury chaired by Anett Mádi-Nátor, President of Women4Cyber, and comprising ten leading figures from the industry, including Jon France, CISO of ISC2, Marcos Gómez of INCIBE, and Katy Anton, Executive Director of Cybersecurity Architecture at JP Morgan, among others, will select the winners. The awards ceremony will take place on the 4th of November as part of Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress.
Exhibition Area and Congress Programme
The awards ceremony is one of the highlights of an event that will feature an exhibition area bringing together close to 100 companies, alongside a congress programme structured around three major themes: cybersecurity as a strategic business risk; Artificial Intelligence, identity and trust in the digital environment; and systemic, cyber-physical and supply chain resilience.
The event will also feature a Showcase Corner for the presentation of innovative solutions; a Networking Hub with the participation of Europe’s leading cybersecurity organisations; and The Startup Cyber Experience, a dedicated space for emerging companies. In addition, there will be hands-on laboratories, hackathons and practical sessions designed to tackle challenges and promote knowledge sharing.
Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress 2026 will be held from 3 to 5 November in Hall 2 of Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue, alongside Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), to strengthen the synergies between the digitalisation of urban environments and protection against digital threats, while addressing cybersecurity challenges from a cross-sector perspective.
