With 87% of exhibitors and 81% of visitors from outside Spain
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week closes its most international edition to date
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW) 2026 closed its doors today with highly positive results, maintaining last year’s record attendance and marking its most international edition to date, with 87% of exhibitors and 81% of visitors coming from outside Spain. The event also stood out for its strong commercial momentum and the high level of satisfaction among participating brands, both at the trade show and on the runway.
The event, organized by Fira de Barcelona, has reinforced its position as the leading global platform for the bridal, evening, and red carpet fashion industries. This edition attracted nearly 23,500 visitors, 81% of whom were international attendees from 107 countries—the highest in its history.
Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Brazil accounted for the highest number of visitors. The positive response from the Asian market was also significant, with an expanded presence of buyers and professionals from China, South Korea, Japan, and other Southeast Asian countries.
The trade show featured nearly 420 exhibiting brands from 37 countries, 87% of which were international—the highest proportion to date. The companies gave very positive feedback on the profile of the buyers, their decision-making authority, and their purchasing potential—key factors for generating sales and new business opportunities.
Albasarí Caro, director of BBFW, noted: “This edition confirms the maturity and global reach the show has achieved, both due to the record-breaking internationallity, as well as the quality of the buyers and the interest generated among the brands.” Caro emphasized that “Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week is undoubtedly the essential meeting point for the global bridal industry.”
Runway and Business
During the first three days of the event, the BBFW runway showcased the collections of 34 designers from diverse backgrounds and styles. The collections presented a wide-ranging take on the trends that will define the 2027 season. Quality and a high level of creativity were two of the most highly valued aspects of this edition, which once again demonstrated the impeccable logistical organization and the highest level of excellence pursued by the event’s team.
One of the most iconic moments was the Barcelona Bridal Night event, which celebrated its tenth edition this year with French designer Stéphane Rolland as the headliner. The gala, held as part of the trade show last Wednesday, brought together more than a thousand guests and marked the couturier’s debut in Spain with a show conceived as a fusion of haute couture, art, music, and poetry with star studded runway.
The next edition of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week will take place from April 14 to 18, 2027 at Montjuïc venue, with the goal of further boosting international reach, creativity, and business opportunities
