Automobile Barcelona returns in 2027 and debuts a new location on Gran Via
Automobile Barcelona, the International Motor Show organized by Fira de Barcelona with the support of ANFAC, will be held from 10 to 18 April 2027 at the Gran Via venue, featuring two days for press and professionals, scheduled for April 8th and 9th. The event will organize its 44th edition and will move from its traditional home in Montjuïc to this modern facility that will enhance its exhibition and experiential proposal.
The change of venue, following the transformation of the Montjuïc venue as part of celebrations for the Centenary of the 1929 International Exhibition, will offer exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to discover the potential of the Gran Via venue, an international benchmark for its state-of-the-art exhibition facilities.
In this sense, the director of Automobile Barcelona, José Miguel García, stressed that “the new venue will enhance the overall experience for attendees at this new edition, which is designed to allow visitors to discover, and test drive the latest models, boost the market and help accelerate the electrification of the car fleet“.
The event will once again feature major brands from the automotive sector and is preparing an experiential format that will allow the public to discover and test drive the latest models, particularly in the fields of electrification, autonomous driving and connected vehicles. In this way, the motor show will continue to position itself as a key platform for boosting sales and bringing innovation to the end consumer.
The Director General of the Spanish Association of Automobile and Truck Manufacturers (ANFAC), José López-Tafall, said that “the industry continues to launch increasingly electrified models onto the market without forgetting constant innovation in connected and autonomous vehicles. Automobile Barcelona is an opportunity for us all to try out both the latest new models and the new technologies that are making driving safer, more comfortable and more sustainable every day.”
Automobile Barcelona, with over 100 years of history, further confirms its status as the leading event for the automotive industry in Spain. Held every two years, it is the only event in Spain internationally recognised by the OICA (Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles).
