VBBFW 2020 exhibition and fashion show sold out two months before the event

Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, the world’s leading bridal fashion event, has already allocated the entire planned exhibition space to the more than 450 bridal and eveningwear firms that will be participating in the trade fair. Internationally renowned brands such as Zuhair Murad and Monique Lhuillier will be taking part in the trade fair for the first time, as well as Jenny Packham and Peter Langner, who will be exhibiting their creations in the fashion show, which has already hung up the sold out sign.

Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week once again sets records of participation and, two months before it kicks off, the entire exhibition area is already reserved, in other words, the whole of halls 1 and 2 in Montjuïc, Fira Barcelona’s venue in Plaza de España. The event, organised by Fira Barcelona, will offer the 2021 season’s collections of wedding, cocktail and eveningwear dresses from over 450 companies, 74% of which are international, from 34 countries.

New brands join 
Among the 35 brands that will be on the catwalk, from 21st to 24th April in the 2021 season’s fashion shows, there are well-known brands such as the Italian designer Peter Langner and the British designer Jenny Packam, who will participate in the Barcelona fashion show for the first time, which has already become one of the most highly rated in the world. Domestic brands will also be present, such as Jesús Peiró; María Salas; Sedomir Rodríguez de la Sierra; Fely Campo; Yolancris; St. Patrick; Isabel Sanchis; Inmaculada García; Sophie et Voilà; Isabel Zapardiez; Beba’s; Marco & María; Ramón Sanjurjo; Carla Ruiz; Sonia Peña and Rosa Clarà.

Rosa Clarà is celebrating her quarter of a century this year, paying tribute to all the brides who have chosen one of her designs for their wedding day. Under the slogan “25 years of magic. Since 1995”, the company has scheduled several special events to celebrate its 25th anniversary. One of the highlights will be their annual fashion show, which will take place on Friday 24th April at the VBBFW.

For its part, three of the Pronovias Group’s brands will participate in VBBFW: White One will present its collection created by the American designer, Zac Posen; St.Patrick will walk down the catwalk with its 2021 collection of the brand’s new designer, Riccardo Serravalle, and Pronovias will exhibit its collaboration with a renowned fashion house.

International companies will also exhibit their 2021 collections in the VBBFW fashion show, including The Atelier, the Malaysian company led by Jimmy Choo; Flora, from Israel; Cymbeline from France; US companies Justin Alexander Signature, Maggie Sottero and Demetrios; the Bulgarian Julia Kontogruni, and Marylise & Rembo Styling, from Belgium.

For its part, the trade fair, which will take place on 24th, 25th and 26th, will feature world-renowned brands that are making their debut this year at the Barcelona event, such as Zuhair Murad, Monique Lhuillier, Roberto Cavalli, Jenny Packham, Pnina Tornai, Elisabetta Polignano, Alon Livné, Pol Nuñez, Victor Bellaish, Immaclé, Madi Lane, Alexandra Grecco, Jane Hill, Yumi Katsura, Bellantuono, Gali Karten, Julie Vino, Kim Cassas, Vestal and Leila Hafzi, among others.

In addition, other renowned international companies will be back once again, such as Marchesa, Antonio Riva, The Atelier, Justin Alexander, Flora, Giuseppe Papini, Mori Lee, Amsale, Cymbeline, David Fielden, Ersa Atelier, Demetrios, Maggie Sottero, Valentini, Savannah Miller, Saiid Kobeisy, Poesie Sposa, Enzoani, JLM Couture and Watters.

Furthermore, among the domestic companies, just as in other editions, Pronovias Group, Rosa Clará, Jesús Peiró, Yolancris, Isabel Sanchis, Novia D’Art, Sophie et Voilà, Marco & María, Sonia Peña, Immaculada García, Tot-Hom, Beba’s, and Carla Ruiz, among others, will be present.

New Chairman of Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week
Jesús Díez Betriu, one of the founders and current owner of the company, Jesús Peiró, is the new Chairman of the Organising Committee of Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week. Díez Betriu succeeds Marta Reich, director of the company Novia d’Art, whom Fira’s Board of Directors has thanked for her work at the helm of the show since 2015.

Díez Betriu said that “it is an honour to chair the Organising Committee of the VBBFW, the leading international market event of its kind. My personal thanks go to Marta Reich who has actively contributed, together with the rest of the team, to the success of this event which is already a world leader”.

Other activities and collaborations
In addition to the business centre, VBBFW will host various cultural and informative activities to promote art, design, creativity and sustainability, with the aim of holding an edition committed to people and their environment.
