Graphispag moves to May 2022

Graphispag, the benchmark trade fair in the Iberian market for the graphic and visual communication industries, moves its celebration to 2022, waiting for more favorable situation to be held and for the economic recovery, so necessary to achieve social normality. Specifically, the new dates set are from 10 to 13 May 2022 at the Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.

There are three main reasons for postponing Graphispag for one year: the evolution of the health situation itself; the postponement and the consequent concentration of other major European trade fair events in the graphic arts sector in the first half of 2021; and the impact of the crisis on the activity of companies and professionals in the printing industry in our country.
According to the director of the Packaging, Printing & Retail Business Unit of Fira de Barcelona, ​​Xavier Pascual, “this decision is supported by the opinions of companies and associations of the Spanish sector. We consider that it is the best option for the graphic and visual communication industries in order to have a reinforced Graphispag with a broad representation and participation of supply and demand and capable of effectively contributing to revive the business of graphic services companies and other sectors that incorporate printing “.
For his part, the president of the Organizing Committee of Graphispag, Xavier Armengou, underlines the complexity of the moment that forces graphic companies “to focus on adapting their activity and structure and on thinking about doing things differently than we were used to”. In this sense, Armengou is convinced that “new business models and business collaboration will emerge, which will increase automation and digitization in the graphic industry, but that the value of the printed product will continue to be differential and necessary. This will be demonstrated in Graphispag that it has to be able to group the maximum representativeness to attract the best demand”.
Organized by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the Graphispack Asociación, Graphispag 2022 will once again integrate all forms of printing, both traditional and booming digital, as well as the most advanced (functional, 3D or printed-electronics) with application in industrial sectors. The emblematic graphic event will showcase new productos in software, design, printing technologies and finishes, as well as supports and consumables, giving special prominence to graphic services companies that are creating innovative graphic products that generate value and comparative advantages over digital communication.
Meanwhile, Graphispag wants to continue to maintain close contact with the sector and is already working to create relationship spaces in 2021 that foster knowledge and networking between companies and professionals in both graphic services and other industries and businesses that use communication solutions. graphic and visual. One of them will be the active presence of Graphispag at the Hispack trade show, scheduled for October next year, to publicize new specific printing possibilities for the packaging and labels sector.
