Piscina Barcelona 2027 Prioritises High-Quality Visitors and a Stronger Commercial Offering

Piscina Barcelona, to be held from 15 to 18 November 2027 at the Gran Via venue, is preparing its next edition with a strategy focused on strengthening its international reach, enhancing the quality of its commercial offering and attracting qualified decision-makers. Organised by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the industry association ASOFAP, the event is expected to bring together more than 450 exhibitors from 30 countries and attract over 20,000 visitors, a 15% increase compared with 2025.

The event aims to consolidate its position as the leading global meeting point for the pool, wellness and outdoor industries, at a time marked by technological innovation, sustainability and growing demand for aquatic projects linked to health, wellbeing, tourism and leisure. Its international character is one of its key strengths, with 70% of exhibiting companies and 60% of visitors coming from outside Spain.

The launch of the 2027 edition was marked by the first meeting of its Organising Committee, chaired by Carles Franquesa, President of Fluidra for Southern Europe, Australia and New Zealand, who succeeds Eloi Planes, now Honorary Chairman after leading the show for seven editions. The vice-chairmanship is held by Pedro Arrébola, President of ASOFAP and General Manager of Renolit Ibérica’s Pool Division.

Franquesa stressed that “the show must continue to evolve as a global platform, strengthening its ability to attract leading international players and generate high-value business opportunities”.

This advisory committee brings together leading companies, industry associations and public institutions, reflecting the cross-sector nature of an industry that spans residential and public-use pools, as well as wellness and outdoor environments. Its members include executives from Action Waterscapes, Aiper, BWT, DTP, ESPA, Fluidra, Grupo QP, Hayward, Irripiscine, NAOS, Piscinas Condal, Rosa Gres and SCP, together with representatives from organisations such as the Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero (ITH), the Spanish Association of Landscape Architects (AEP), the Catalan Camping Federation, ICEX and the Government of Catalonia.

Piscina Barcelona has also set up four working groups comprising more than 50 experts to strengthen its positioning as a business, innovation and knowledge platform. Working alongside the Organising Committee, these groups provide market insight in key areas, helping to improve the show’s representativeness and align both its commercial offer and content with the real needs of the industry. They also facilitate trend identification and connections with strategic stakeholders.

Strong Commercial Start

Eighteen months ahead of the event, Piscina Barcelona has already reserved 75% of its planned exhibition space, demonstrating strong industry support for the next edition. To date, 240 exhibitors from 27 countries — including the world’s leading companies — have confirmed their participation in the show, which will occupy more than 46,000 gross square metres across Halls 1 and 2 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.

The show’s director, Ángel Celorrio, stated that “the current booking pace allows us to selectively incorporate new companies while maintaining a balanced offering that accurately represents the global pool, wellness and outdoor market”.

Focus on Visitors

Beyond growth in volume, the 2027 edition places particular emphasis on attracting higher-quality visitors and achieving more precise audience segmentation to reach key user sectors. The Committee has reviewed its targets by professional profile and country of origin, paying special attention to the role of installers and to the distinction between professional distribution channels and retail.

The challenge is to consolidate a balanced visitor base across both domestic and international markets, prioritising professionals with specification and purchasing authority, in line with market developments.

To this end, Piscina Barcelona will launch a programme of knowledge-sharing and networking events aimed at companies and professionals from user sectors, with the goal of stimulating professional demand in Spain in the months leading up to the show. Internationally, targeted initiatives will also be developed, including participation in industry forums organised by other entities.

Market Outlook

During the Committee meeting, participating companies shared a positive assessment of the pool industry’s performance during the first half of 2026, particularly in Southern Europe, where activity levels remain strong and project pipelines are healthy in areas such as construction, landscaping and wellness.

However, certain international uncertainties remain, particularly regarding some markets and cost developments, which could affect investment and decision-making. In this context, Piscina Barcelona aims to strengthen its role as a meeting place for generating business opportunities, sharing knowledge and facilitating connections among key industry stakeholders.

To achieve this, Piscina Barcelona 2027 will roll out a range of initiatives over the coming months aimed at expanding its base of exhibiting companies and visitors, further reinforcing its position as Europe’s leading business platform for the pool, wellness and outdoor sectors.
