A renewed Bizbarcelona will provide solutions for retail, SMEs and the self-employed.

Bizbarcelona is back with a new look and a special focus on retail, self-employed professionals, and local SMEs and microenterprises, which will find more tools, resources and knowledge to improve the competitiveness of their businesses, update themselves and face new challenges. The emblematic event will take place from 4 to 5 October at the Montjuïc exhibition venue and will offer more than 120 activities on digital transformation, sustainability and business purpose.

Bizbarcelona, organised by Fira de Barcelona and promoted by Barcelona City Council through Barcelona Activa, Barcelona Provincial Council, Pimec, the Barcelona Metropolitan Area and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, will showcase the resources, programmes and support offered by the different organisations working to strengthen local businesses and the local business fabric.

As a novelty, Bizbarcelona is opening an area called “village” where organisations, companies and professionals with services and products aimed at small companies and local businesses will be exhibiting. From consultancy firms to digital marketing services, training, professional associations, coworking spaces and tools and services for digitalisation.

Ideas, tools and resources
The event will also include the usual conference areas, practical workshops and individualised advice sessions, which are very popular with the public. Thus, in the conference area of Bizbarcelona, experts will present solutions and success stories that serve as inspiration and provide useful tips for day-to-day business management and to respond to three major challenges: digital transformation, sustainability, and identifying or strengthening the purpose of the business.

At the same time, the agenda of practical workshops designed to develop new skills and acquire knowledge that will help to update, consolidate and improve businesses with the aim of making them more competitive and profitable will be increased. In addition, in the personalised advice area, the public will be able to address specific queries and ask for specialised advice from more than fifty experts in different business fields.

The visit to Bizbarcelona is free of charge after registering online through the event’s website.

This year Bizbarcelona will once again coincide in dates and venue with the Saló de l’Ocupació, which, for its part, will offer specific spaces and activities for orientation, discovery and preparation for the search for employment, professional change and new job opportunities. Last year more than 12,000 people visited both events.
