Fira, important centre for medical congresses
This year, Fira de Barcelona will host major medical congresses, which will bring together over 49,000 professionals. This outstanding congress activity will reinforce the institution’s strategy to attract European and world events in this speciality.
Throughout September 2013, the congresses of the European Respiratory and Oncology Societies will be taking place as well as the European Association for the Study of Diabetes congress, in addition to national events on Primary Care and Neonatology.
Since 2006, the Montjuïc and Gran Via exhibition centres have provided the setting for 37 medical congresses, many of them leading events, such as the World Cardiology Congress and its European version ¿which will be back in Fira in 2014- as well as Molecular Biology, Respiratory, Haematology, Urology and Toxicology events, among others.
