Manga Barcelona holds its 31st edition

From December 5 to 8, Spain’s most important annual event dedicated to manga and anime returns with premieres, cultural activities, and more international guests, further enhancing visitors’ experience and strengthening their connection to Japanese culture.

This year’s program will feature renowed figures such as authors Gou Tanabe and Tsutomu Takahashi, as well as major anime icon Akemi Takada. In addition, fans of the legendary series Cowboy Bebop will have, for the first time, the opportunity to enjoy a special visit from director Shinichiro Watanabe and the creators of its soundtrack: Yoko Kanno, SEATBELTS and Mai Yamane.

The most emblematic spaces will once again host musical performances, artist meet-and-greets and cosplay contests. The event also brings back its annual themed areas, such as Manga Kids, as well as spaces dedicated to gastronomy and traditional Japanese culture.

With more than three decades of history, the event continues to evolve and reaffirm itself as an essential meeting point for the otaku community.
