With more than 100 events until the end of the year
Fira de Barcelona speeds up ahead of a Health and Tech-focused autumn
Between now and the end of the year, Fira de Barcelona will host more than a hundred events and congresses across its venues, including Montjuïc, Gran Via, the Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB), and the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which will be incorporated into its managed facilities this year. The autumn calendar will place a special focus on health and technology, kicking off with the Gran Premi Montser Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP.
Fira de Barcelona faces a packed calendar in the final four months of the year, hosting national and international benchmark events across a wide range of sectors—including technology, health, transport, mobility, food, tourism, culture, packaging, and motor racing. These events aim to drive business growth, foster innovation, and open new markets for professionals and companies alike.
Thus, this autumn, medical congresses will take center stage, beginning with the 2025 World Conference on Lung Cancer at the Gran Via venue in September. A global benchmark in the search for effective treatments against lung tumors, this event joins a strong lineup of returning medical congresses—many of them hosted at the CCIB—including CIRSE (interventional radiology), ECTRIMS (multiple sclerosis), and EANM (nuclear medicine).
The General Manager of Fira de Barcelona, Constantí Serrallonga, highlights that the calendar for the last months of 2025 “consolidates a year of great activity both in terms of the number of shows and their relevance, and reinforces Fira’s leadership in attracting, hosting and organising major international benchmark events”. In addition, he states that this autumn’s agenda “is an example of how the institution contributes to the positioning of the city and the country as a benchmark in strategic sectors, such as health and technology”.
Technology and international vocation
Accordingly, Fira’s other major vector between now and the end of the year is technology. In November, the Gran Via venue will once again become the epicenter of innovation with the return of the Smart City Expo World Congress, showcasing cutting-edge solutions for smart cities. The event will also feature specialized platforms such as Tomorrow.Mobility, Tomorrow.Blue Economy, and Tomorrow.Building, highlighting advancements in mobility, the blue economy, and sustainable construction. Meanwhile, the CCIB will host the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo, the international gathering of analysts from the global technology firm.
In addition, this September marks the debut of Labelexpo Europe in the Catalan capital. Previously held in Brussels, this major trade fair dedicated to labeling and packaging printing is expected to attract around 36,000 professional visitors. Among the novelties, it is also worth mentioning the celebration for the first time in Barcelona, specifically at the CCIB facilities, of the Mondiacult, UNESCO’s world conference on cultural policy.
Other benchmark events in the international sphere that trust Fira de Barcelona once again are the IAAPA Expo Europe, a European meeting point for the amusement park industry; IBTM World, an unmissable event for business tourism professionals, or Intermodal Europe 2025, an event focused on freight transport. In addition to these events, there are other notable professional events such as Piscina Barcelona, a trade fair organised by Fira, a benchmark in this sector at European level.
This intense agenda is completed with emblematic events in the city’s trade fair scene such as the Saló Nàutic, Caravaning, Ocasión, Gastronomic Forum Barcelona, Expohogar, Manga Barcelona, Bizbarcelona, Ocuació or the Children’s Festival.
Circuit, motorsport agenda
To this trade fair and congress calendar, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will add major motorsport events such as the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP. The points-scoring race of the MotoGP World Championship returns this September to the Circuit, a facility that Fira has begun to manage in 2025 and that already hosted the Formula 1 Aramco Gran Premio de España 2025 last spring. The Catalan track will also host the FIM JuniorGP during the autumn, an event that is also part of the Motorcycle World Championship but in the Junior category, and the 24 Hours of Barcelona Motorsport.
Beyond motoring, the Circuit will also host many other events this autumn, such as business and training days, filming, presentations, driving courses and charity events, among others.
Overall, the agenda for the last part of the year will complete a 2025 in which more than 270 events will be held in total, and which has already had a first half of great activity with leading shows such as ISE, MWC Barcelona, Seafood Expo Global, Automobile Barcelona, Barcelona Wine Week, B-Travel, Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, Construmat or Vitafoods Europe, among others.
