Fira de Barcelona keeps growing and achieves record revenues of over €350 million in 2025

Fira de Barcelona proceeds along its path of growth, and once again breaks records in 2025, with revenues of over 350 million euros and an EBITDA of 60 million euros. An excellent year marked by the holding of leading global events and the taking over of the management of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The institution is ready for a 2026 with intense activity and ambitious strategic projects, while strengthening its international leadership and role as an economic and social powerhouse.

Record turnover figures for Fira de Barcelona, which expects to close 2025 with revenues of more than €350 million, 17% more than in 2024, and EBITDA of €60 million (+8%). This growth is underpinned by the solid progress of the tradeshow business, with larger and higher-quality events, and the consolidation of the management of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Overall, some 300 trade shows, conferences, competitions, and events have been held at the venues, in addition to activities abroad.

The balance for this year and the forecasts for 2026 were presented today by Pau Relat, Chairman of Fira de Barcelona’s Board of Directors, and Constantí Serrallonga, the Managing Director, during the meeting of the institution’s General Council, chaired by Jaume Collboni, Mayor of Barcelona, with Miquel Sàmper, Minister for Business and Labour of the Government of Catalonia, and Josep Santacreu, Chairman of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, acting as vice-presidents. The Council also approved the appointment of renowned entrepreneur Pedro Fontana as a member of the Board of Directors, a body on which he has previously served.

Strong portfolio of events
Pau Relat highlighted that “these magnificent results confirm Fira’s excellent evolution in recent years; in addition to its outstanding trade fair activity, this has been particularly important in 2025, due to the incorporation of the management of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the first steps towards the diversification of its activity and successfully overcoming the challenge of organising the MotoGP and Formula 1 Grand Prix. All this encourages us to move forward with our major projects to expand and refurbish the facilities in order to remain an economic and social engine and enhance our legacy in the territory.”

According to Constantí Serrallonga, “the institution is experiencing one of its best moments, with steady growth in revenue and activity, thanks to a strong portfolio of world-leading events and ambitious expansion plans on the horizon.” He added that “these extraordinary figures endorse the success of our strategy to attract major trade fairs and congresses, especially in the technology and medical fields, which have a strong impact on the local ecosystem. They also prove our financial soundness, organizational capacity, and commitment to investing in new tradeshow products and first-class infrastructure to strengthen our international leadership.”

2025 has been a year of important events, including MWC Barcelona, ISE, Smart City Expo World Congress, Seafood Global Expo, Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, Labelexpo, Vitafoods, Piscina Barcelona, Infarma, IBTM World and Automobile Barcelona. A rapidly expanding Fira
In 2025, Fira de Barcelona has given a strong boost to its major strategic projects. It has been a year defined by the integration of the Circuit de Barcelona–Catalunya, opening a new chapter to diversify its activity and host not only major motor-sport competitions, but also trade fairs, congresses, and shows, while becoming a hub for the development of the sustainable mobility industry.

Progress has also been made on the remodelling of the Montjuïc venue with the selection of the architectural projects for the first phase of the work to transform it into a modern, urban and singular fairground in Europe. This is scheduled to begin in 2026 and end in 2029, coinciding with the centenary of the 1929 International Exhibition, the commemoration of which is being organised by the Centenary Committee set up for the purpose.

Similarly, construction work is continuing apace on Hall Zero, the new 60,000 m2 building featuring avant-garde and sustainable architecture at the Gran Via venue, which will strengthen its status as a world-class benchmark facility. This unique space is expected to become operational in 2027.

A packed calendar in 2026
The institution is nearing 2026 with excellent prospects and an expectation of its revenues totalling over 360 million euros in another year of intense activity, with major global events at its Montjuïc and Gran Via venues and the Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB), in addition to the Circuit and those held abroad.

In addition to MWC Barcelona, ISE and Smart City Expo World Congress, the 50th anniversary of Alimentaria + Hostelco will be particularly significant.
