Leading international experts will participate in the conference programme
Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress addresses how to defend the cyber industry
The constant evolution of cybersecurity threats makes it essential for companies and industries to have a high degree of information and the best tools to increase their degree of protection. In this sense, the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress (BCC) congress programme will feature the participation of prominent national and international experts who will share their knowledge and experiences in the fight against cybercrime.
Organised by Fira de Barcelona with the collaboration of the Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya (ACC), the sixth edition of BCC will feature an comprehensive list of conferences, talks and round tables that will focus on issues such as the need to increase investment in cybersecurity to ensure business protection, the effective use of data to improve threat detection, the use of Artificial Intelligence to identify vulnerabilities, the role of chief information security officers (CISOs) or knowledge of the regulatory framework.
Among the most relevant speakers are the President of National Automation, Steve Mustard; the Director of Technology of Ontinet, Alejandro Aliaga; the Global CISO of the Abertis Group, Olga Forné; Schneider Electric’s Vice President and CISO for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Frank Van Caenegem; the General Director of Sinektik, David Dickson; the Lead Architect of AI for the pharmaceutical sector and quantum computing specialist at Microsoft UK, Deepa Shinde; and the President of the SME section of the European Cybersecurity Organization (ECSO), Regis Cazenave.
Women protagonists
The BCC 2025 programme also includes the STEM Women Congress, which will take place on May 14th, where cybersecurity applied to key sectors of the economy such as critical infrastructures, healthcare and the financial system will be discussed, from a gender perspective, with the participation of Marta Pascual. CEO of Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech, a deep-tech quantum computing startup; Maria Viadé, Director of Information Security and Data Protection Officer of Volkswagen Group Spain; Nadiya Shaik, cybersecurity specialist at Nestlé; and Elena Medina, Sanofi’s Iberia Digital Leader.
The BCC congress is one of the most important activities of the event which, from May 13 to 15, will be jointly held with IOT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC). Organised by Fira de Barcelona, the two events will bring together more than 250 exhibitors from all over the world and a hundred national and international speakers in Hall 8 of the Gran Via venue.
