EdTech Congress closes an edition marked by ethical reflection on Artificial Intelligence

For two days, the Palau de Congressos de Montjuïc brought together around 3,000 professionals from the educational community, public administrations and corporate training specialists, consolidating its position as a key forum for analysing the challenges of digital learning.

Organised by Fira de Barcelona and the EduTech Cluster, the congress brought together 60 exhibiting companies and 81 speakers, who addressed the role of technology in future educational scenarios and underlined the need for critical thinking in the introduction of solutions such as AI, whose implementation should follow an inclusive and people‑centred approach.

“The success of this edition shows that EdTech Congress Barcelona is already an essential event for professionals in the sector. The key to the future lies in knowing how to introduce technology effectively and responsibly in education in order to move towards a more inclusive and sustainable model. That is why this combination of exposure and reflection is a winning formula”, said Alícia Berlanga, director of the congress and the EduTech Cluster.

New perspectives on educational AI

The contributions of international experts explored how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are reshaping training processes — from intelligent assessment to personalised learning and the critical review of technological determinism. In addition, the congress showcased innovations in hybrid classrooms, accessibility, connectivity and immersive resources.

The first‑ever We Love Learning Summit, focused on corporate training, broadened the professional scope of the congress with analyses on upskilling, reskilling and the application of AI in sectors such as finance. The meeting brought together Learning & Development specialists who discussed how to boost organisational competitiveness through new digital strategies.

The alliance with Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) reinforced the dual nature of the event — pedagogical and technological — allowing attendees to access the Gran Via venue and discover the latest solutions presented by sector leaders at the world’s leading congress in this field. EdTech Congress Barcelona will return with a new edition on 3 and 4 February 2027.
