ICHNO brings together experts in head and neck cancers
Conference on innovation in the field of Oncology
From 16 to 18 March, the sixth International Conference on Innovative Approaches in Head and Neck Oncology (ICHNO) takes place at the Montjuïc Exhibition Centre. The event will be attended by specialists from all over the world.
The conference is organised by the European Society for Therapeutic Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), the European Head and Neck Society (EHNS) and the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO).
It will present the latest advances and innovations in the prevention of head and neck cancers with the participation of experts in radiology, oncology and pharmacy from across the globe.
Head and neck tumours are the seventh most frequent cause of cancer deaths worldwide. In Spain alone, between 12,000 and 14,000 new cases are diagnosed every year. These cancers are more common in men over 50, although they are appearing more and more often in women and younger age groups.
